YOU KNOW it’s hardly really explained, because of course it isn’t, but I guess it sorta is supposed to be a vessel for Dio’s soul? It’s like a homunculus created by pucci with dio’s ‘flesh’ and the souls of the 38 prisoners. I just call it dio and pucci’s egg baby since they both made it and it hatched out of a shell.
