I’ve always wanted to cosplay but I’ve been self conscious as a poc. Do you have any advice?

hm, well I can talk a bit about confidence in yourself, obvs since im white this is different, but honestly finding confidence in yourself to cosplay really is hard.  I’m really glad when people think I’m full of confidence but holy shit I’m like absolutely terrified walking out at a con in cosplay.  I have sort of a fake it till you make it attitude tho so I just tell myself I’m the best thing absolutely ever and fuck off if you don’t think so.  You should think that too. There’s no reason why you ARENT the best too. You’ll never know if you don’t do it. And even still, the heart of cosplaying is having fun. Do you have a fave character you want to be? Yes? Be them!! Have fun! Enjoy yourself! This is for you, not anyone else. I’ll fight anyone who doesn’t like it. I’ll fight them for you too.
