Do you have any tips for growing your nails out? I try to grow mine out longer but they always break at 1/4 of an inch :/

I do wish I could give you some but I don’t actually do anything to my nails, I let them go and file them every so often and maybe paint them. I know that nail strengthening top coat is supposed to help?
