Some fun facts gleaned from these early prototype character profiles by Hirano, from a 1997 issue of Young King OURS:
- Integra’s supposed Indian heritage is not merely a write-in by Studio Gonzo, as her character description here mentions her skin tone as being “that of an Indian”
- The way her full title is spelled (Integral Fairbrook Wingates Hellsing) suggests that “Integra” is more of a nickname
- In addition to Hellsing Director, her other titles include “magician, religious scholar, and vampire hunter, dubbed by some as the reincarnation of Mrs. Blavatsky”
- Alucard’s name, thought to be inspired by the Castlevania franchise, actually originates from a choose-your-own-adventure novel by Irish author J. H. Brennan (the same fake name Alucard uses at Rio).
