As someone who use to ID and had to deal with the unpleasant aspects of the community at a young age I am glad people are talking about the very shitty or unhealthy of the Asexual community, but it’s at the point where it’s become a “joke” and instead of being constructive or concern for people who are affected by issues in the community it’s become an excuse to throw rocks.

The debate of “how does the ace community relate/fit with the LGBT” is beginning to devolve into a “why should asexual people even have a community anyways” which is just a gross way of thinking. 

I’m of the opinion that the community one should be the toughest and most thoughtfully critical towards is your own, and it wouldn’t be fair for me to talk about problems in ace circles while not thinking about or worrying about bad shit that happens within lesbian communities

The shit with that Damegreywulf/Bizarropurugly fuckhead is obviously shitty and pathetic, but the thing about them to note is that they arnt actually asexual themself and are just one of those creepy phony “allies” who doesn’t actually care about other people and to them *social justice* is just a game for them so they can have power and control in these sorts of circles. The fact they brag about the number of randos they can put on a list of *bad people* rather then focus on making accessible posts on legit bigoted or dangerous people show how much of this is all just made as an ego boost for them. 

Point is people like Dame can and do weasel their way into pretty much any community based around identity and social issues. I’ve seen ad many “ace exclusionist” or whatever bloggers be just as self serving and slimy as Dame, be wary of anyone who’s politics seem exclusively to portray themselves as *the hero* and an authority figure over vulnerable people, or an excuse to fight and make fun of or threaten others, even if they are on “your side”
