If this version of Hell doesn’t excite your fire in the show I don’t know what will.

I did the main posing and keys on the first six of these shots. That was a tough run, those first few episodes. We all had a real hard time nailing the style of the show. Loved working on it though. I really miss Ugly. Wish we got another season. 

I think inbetweens on that third shot with everybody walking down the street was the very first animation work they had me do on this show.

I miss it, Ugly Americans was the funnest show I’ve ever worked on.

I had to prep all of this show for the CC app recently so it was like binge watching it, I love it so much. Really wish there was more.

Look at this! Nick transforms my wonky storyboard poses into weird beautiful animation before your very eyes!

For me Over the Garden Wall was worth making just to get the chance to watch Nick work. By the end of production I was actually lurking in his office just to watch him clean up drawings because it was so mesmerizing. The confidence of his line is unreal. And that’s just the tip of the iceberg of his talent and vision in all things animation-related.

Anyone who gets the chance to work with Nick should consider themselves extremely lucky.

I don’t want to reblog too much OTGW stuff bc I want it to be a surprise to the people who haven’t seen it yet… but man this little bit of animation really blew me away haha

I’m sick and got sent home from work yesterday, you have to like, drag me away from work to get me out of there even when I am pretty sick. 

But fun news is I’m working on an exclusive colbert mashup that will be aired on one of his last shows, so that’s exciting.
