books post – You cannot ground DIO

Finally real books post, since I got these today in the mail and boy they are gorgeous. I sorta came into them by chance, Kome saw me wanting them on twitter and mailed them to me, which was just the sweetest thing. I’ll talk more in detail under the cut.

So Psyche Pysche came first, and Biotope is a prequel to it written after. Psyche Psyche is gorgeous and drawn in pencil, but since it takes place after Biotope I’ll talk about Biotope first.

In it, Dio raises a boy who’s pretty much a copy of Jonathan, and it’s obvious he’s making a replacement. The boy grows up loving Dio but also knowing he’s a replacement and is jealous of Jonathan. But he’s completely loyal to Dio anyway and just wants to please him.

Dio’s real plan here however is to use Jona2’s body to resurrect Jonathan.

Which leads to Psyche Psyche, where after Dio kills Jona2 he puts Jonathan’s head on that body and brings him back as a vampire.

Jonathan doesn’t take this very well. He seems to refuse to drink blood, but still stays with Dio. Honestly the art in this is just..

gorgeous

Mhm, but this ends with Dio’s death same as part 3, and Jonathan seems to feel his death, and chooses to expose himself to the sun, Jotaro finding his clothing in the mansion later.

I can’t tell you how happy I am, these books have just this lovely quality to them, where the lines are so delicate and soft it creates a very powerful atmosphere. Honestly Biotope made me tear up a little, I’m very lucky to have these. ❤
