Prompt was naps.

“You can lean on me, if you’re tired,” Dio said, not looking up from his book. Pucci glanced up from his own book at him, he hadn’t thought Dio had seen him starting to nod off a bit.  He wasn’t trying to hide it but he still felt like he’d been caught.

The invitation went unanswered for a while as Pucci debated on moving over on the couch closer to Dio or to stay on the other end of it.  But eventually he closed his book, set in on his lap, and slid over, sitting right beside the vampire.  Dio didn’t react when Pucci lightly put his shoulder on him.

He opened his book back up and found the page, starting to read again but since he wasn’t resting his whole weight on Dio the position was a bit uncomfortable.  And he felt awkward.

Dio shifted and pulled his arm out from under Pucci, causing him to lean more on his chest, and brought his arm around him.  He didn’t look up from his book at all, still reading as if this was nothing, even though Pucci had tensed up under the sudden embrace.

“Ahm..” Pucci started to say something but trailed off, eye flicking between Dio and his arm, not sure what to say.  After a while he relaxed onto Dio, knowing that if this is what Dio wanted he wasn’t going to be able to get out of it.  Not that he really wanted too.  It was just sudden.  He listened instead to Dio’s deep and even breathing, which he thought must be more out of habit than necessity since he didn’t think vampires actually had to breathe.

It was rather soothing, and he felt his eyelids start to droop again.  In vain he tried to keep awake to at least finish the next chapter but he was just so tired and Dio felt so nice..

When the book had fallen from Pucci’s hands onto the floor Dio closed his own and set it aside to look at the boy who’d fallen asleep on him.  He closed his own eyes and sat listening to Pucci’s heartbeat until he felt himself slip off into sleep as well.

Prompt about Dio not being able to use technology well.

“HELLO, PUCCI?”

Pucci winced and pulled the phone away from his ear.  Cautiously, he moved the phone back near his head, sighing inwardly.  He held his hand over the earpiece before speaking.

“Please, Dio, we have gone over this, you do not have to yell into the phone.  I will hear you just fine when you speak normally.”

“BUT YOU ARE SO VERY FAR AWAY, ARE YOU SURE?”

Pucci bit back a terse remark.  He’d spoken about how to use a phone with Dio a few times before but I had to remind himself he was dealing with a vampire whose experience with this technology was next to nothing.  His servants were teaching him things but Pucci was the only reason he would use a phone and the concept of it seemed still a bit beyond him.

“Yes, it’s fine, trust me I will still be able to hear you.  I was just calling to let you know I’d made it back from my flight,” Pucci said, settling down on his bed with his luggage nearby.  The flight back to Florida from Cairo was exhausting, and really he just wanted to sleep, but before he left Dio had insisted he let him know when he got home.

The line was quiet for a bit before Dio finally spoke again.

“You can hear this?”

“Yes, just fine,” Pucci finally removed his hand from the earpiece.

“Alright.  Your flight, it was satisfactory? The service should have been of utmost quality.”

“The flight was fine, the service was fine, and there was a car waiting to pick me up when we landed.  It went smoothly I’m just tired now.” Pucci said, closing his eyes.  He debating laying down but he wasn’t sure he’d stay awake if he did, even on the phone.

“I expect you would be.  That is a very lengthy time to be in the air, which I am still not certain I trust completely.  I have been on some, you know, and I do not think I will again for some time.”

Flying with Dio had already been described to him by Terence, who said Dio’s agitation at being over open water for so long made the ride insufferable.  Pucci felt a bit bad but the image of them being trapped with a highly anxious and large vampire on a small plane was still a little amusing.

“I’ll fly to you, Dio, don’t worry.” Pucci assured him.

“Good, as you will, I do not wish this separation to be long.”

“It won’t, I promise. But let me sleep now, if you want I can call again when I get up."

Again there was a pause, as if Dio was thinking over whether or not to let Pucci sleep or try to talk to him more.  He just waited, Pucci knew Dio loved to talk but he would always respect his wishes.

"Yes,” he said finally, “you must rest, I’ll have Terence wait by the phone for your next call.”

“Ok, but, don’t make him stand there for hours I’m going to be a bit."

"Fine, I will not. Now, good night, Pucci, I’ll speak with you again soon.  Do I put this down on the hook thing here?”

“Yes, that will end the call.  Good night, Dio.”  Pucci hung up himself, hoping maybe Terence was nearby to help him put the phone away.  He fell over onto the pillows of the bed, and thought about what he would talk about with Dio tomorrow.
