Now, most of this is phantom blood related, but the coffin that The Thing is found in, alone in the abandoned base after the thing has killed everyone, is very much like part 3 DIO’s entrance.

Now, for phantom blood, first that whole vampire fingers under the skin thing. A really cool effect.

There’s a pretty famous scene of the head moving around looking for people to assimilate, since Dio and The Thing are bodysnatchers.

Also just, tentacles.

To kill The Thing, you’ve gotta use fire.

And in the end they blow everything up to take it down with them.
