father…you know that loving a man instead of a woman is against the word of (bible) god, right sir? is it not hypocritical?

poorlydrawnfatherpucci:

This is difficult to answer, as I suppose you are asking me to define exactly what love is, or what love is defined by in the Bible. And this I cannot give a simple answer to. Perhaps it is defined best by Rumi, in his poem The Meaning of Love.

Both light and shadow
are the dance of Love.

Love has no cause;
it is the astrolabe of God’s secrets.

Lover and Loving are inseparable
and timeless.

Although I may try to describe Love
when I experience it I am speechless.

Although I may try to write about Love
I am rendered helpless;
my pen breaks and the paper slips away
at the ineffable place
where Lover, Loving and Loved are one.

Every moment is made glorious
by the light of Love.

So I feel it is not hypocritical. I do not feel that what I and Dio share would not be within God’s light.
